Introducing mac.trapias.it — My New Mac Apps
A New Home for My Mac Apps
After months spent crafting native macOS applications, I decided they deserved a proper home. Say hello to mac.trapias.it — a dedicated site where you can discover, download and learn about my Mac apps.
Right now it features two apps that I built to scratch my own itches, and that I hope will be useful to you too.
easyCal — Your Calendar, One Click Away

easyCal lives in your menu bar and gives you instant access to your Apple Calendar events, reminders, and a world clock — without opening a full app.
What makes it special:
- Monthly calendar grid with color-coded event dots and swipe navigation
- Agenda view showing upcoming events at a glance
- Join Meeting with a single click — supports Zoom, Google Meet, Teams, FaceTime and 20+ services
- Reminders management right from the menu bar
- World clock with customizable time zones
- Date calculator and countdown display in the menu bar
Built with Swift 6 and SwiftUI, it runs natively on macOS 15+ and syncs preferences via iCloud. And yes, it respects your privacy — all data stays local through EventKit, no external servers involved.
easyRec — Record Everything, Transcribe Instantly

easyRec is an HD audio recorder that captures sound from any macOS application, your microphone, or both simultaneously — and transcribes it in real time using on-device AI.
The highlights:
- Capture audio from any app via ScreenCaptureKit — record a Zoom call, a podcast, a YouTube video, whatever is playing
- Dual capture — system audio + microphone at the same time
- Real-time transcription powered by WhisperKit, running 100% locally on your Apple Silicon Mac
- Speaker diarization — it identifies who is speaking
- Quality presets — Podcast (AAC 44.1kHz), Music (FLAC 48kHz), Professional (WAV 96kHz), or go custom
- Stereo VU meter with real-time monitoring
Whether you’re a podcaster, researcher, content creator, or just someone who needs to capture and transcribe a meeting, easyRec has you covered. And since Whisper runs locally, your audio never leaves your machine.
Check Them Out
Both apps are free to download. Head over to mac.trapias.it to grab them and learn more. I’m actively developing both — feedback and feature requests are very welcome!
